Long-time Trail Blazer and fan favorite, Jerome Kersey (right), has passed away at the age of 52. The cause of his death has not been reported as of yet.
Kersey spent 11 years with the Blazers and was a starter that made two runs towards a championship during the Clyde Drexler/Terry Porter era. He was a valuable addition to the team doing the intangible things such as rebounding, effective communication, participating in hustle plays, and one this often overlooked, simply being a good teammate. The assets that he brought to the table were key to those Portland teams successes. After his playing days, he remained active in the Portland community making a difference in many ways.
