Miami Times (2004)

The newspaper did a back page feature story on the Timbuktu Marketplace Artist Collective. It was the first event that I organized. The most significant part was that my mother showed up. The last thing that she had shown up to was my high school fashion show. She brought students from the school she worked at for a field trip after seeing it in the newspaper. I would end up finding the article years later that highlighted the artists at the stations along the path in Timbuktu.
