Earlier this Summer, New York Giants’ Victor Cruz- one of the league’s biggest sneakerheads- confirmed that he’d be receiving his own signature sneaker. The kicks will be dubbed the ‘Air Cruz,’ and will be a Nike Sportswear joint, similar to the Nike Air Trainer 1.
Today, we have a look at what to expect from the Air Cruz, which has been unveiled in a ‘Red October’ colorway and features some similarities as the Air Yeezy II which shares it’s name.
There is a LOT going on with this sneaker, including the studded heel, multiple straps, suede detailing, classic Air Trainer midsole, and chrome lace loop. It looks like it weighs a ton.
A ‘Cool Grey’ colorway of the Air Cruz has also been unveiled, as well as a ‘NY Giants’ inspired pair, though we don’t have release dates for either colorway just yet.
Other football player inspired sneakers like the ‘Revis’ Collection were fairly popular, so we’re interested to see how well the Air Cruz does when it hits retailers.
What’s the word on the ‘Red October’ Air Cruz: Cop or Not?
