For the third time in 10 days the Atlanta Dream has handed the Connecticut Sun a loss. Finishing 71-57, the Sun head back to Connecticut with five straight losses under their belt.
Shekinna Strickland put up 14 for the Sun, but it just wasn’t enough. Connecticut never led, and it was a rocky start from the very beginning. They scored a season-low 18 points in the first half, 9 in each quarter. And they were scoreless in the first quarter for the first 7 minutes.
On the other side of the court, the Atlanta Dream were up by as many as 23. They gave one exciting performance for the hundreds of Dekalb County students in attendance for the Dream S.T.E.A.M. game. Shoni Schimmel made four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for the Dream, while Sancho Lyttle put up 17.
