This Labor Day Weekend — Atlanta Strikes Out Autism
with #EXTRAV15, the Celebrity Bowling Party of the Year!
Atlanta, GA [September 1, 2015] – ET Promotions announces Extravaganza 2015 (#Extrav15), a Celebrity Bowling Party benefitting Autism on September 5, 2015 at I Luv Bowling in Duluth, GA. An evening of fashion, music, and awareness, the event honors the Autism Society of Georgia, Atlanta Autism Consortium, and Spectrum Autism Support Group for their commitment to service. College scholarships and small business grants will also be awarded that Saturday night.
“I know someone with Autism; I see the things they go through, and I know there’s some more that can be done to help these kids,” said Co-founder of ET Promotions Markiss Mosley. “By making this a celebrity event, we’re able to attract a larger crowd, so more people will learn what Autism is about and what we can do to take care of it.“
Media personality and president of QEB Foundation, Qn.(Queen) Everlena Brown, is the shining engine behind #Extrav15. This media maven is gearing up to be Atlanta’s next “It Girl” taking the mission of her foundation to new heights.
“Queen is a go-getter, a hustler that takes care of business,” Mosley said. “She’s done a lot for the community, so with her on the team I knew it would be a successful event.”
Queen has been a dominating factor for #Extrav15 since day one, using her connections to elicit such media partners as Streetz 94.5, Oldschool 99.3, Vlad TV, Hip Hop Weekly, 612 Magazine and many more. But her greatest contribution thus far has been her partnership with Atlanta Falcon’s own CB Desmond Trufant and the Trufant Family Foundation.
“I created QEB Foundation for several reasons, particularly to bring more attention to the diseases and disorders affecting our communities,” Queen said. “When ET Promotions asked me to be part of their team, I already knew I had to reach out to Desmond. His family’s foundation has an annual bowling event on the west coast, not to mention they just participated in an event back in April for Autism. It only made sense to reach out to him with #Extrav15.”
The Trufant Family Foundation is a non–profit organization that provides funds to programs that directly serve the needs of disadvantaged children. From bowling events to Read Across America Day, the Trufant Family has community ties both on and off the field.
“We really appreciate Queen for considering our Foundation. I’m glad to be part of any event that gives back to the community,” said Desmond Trufant. “I think it’s extremely important that we athletes are not only viewed as role models in the sports industry, but in the community as well.”
Tickets are on sale via Extrav15.Eventbrite.com starting at $30, and there are opportunities for sponsors, performers, and co-hosting. #Extrav15 will be the most talked about event this Labor Day Weekend!
