With two successful, what-are-those-inducing Nike sneaker collaborations under his belt, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci is moving on to a full collection of workout gear for the brand. Check out NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined, a collection of colorful, kaleidoscope-print pieces from Tisci. Inspired by athletes training for the summer Olympics, the collection marries Nike’s key performance technologies, such as Dri-FIT and Flyknit, with Tisci’s creative direction and style. How else would chic silhouettes like crop tops and two-in-one basketball shorts and full-length tights come to be?
“It was interesting…a little bit of a difficult process because to make something that is very dynamic, to do sport and to do activity, and make it strongly recognizable—a fashion statement—is not easy,” Tisci said in a statement. “But we achieved something that’s amazing. There’s a lot of sensuality.”
If you’re the type of hypebeast who shies away from loud workout gear, rest easy knowing that NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined will also release the capsule collection in a stark black-and-white color palette, a nod to the two hues that often pop up in Tisci’s Givenchy runway shows. The collection drops in July with a second release scheduled for August; sign up atnike.com/nikelab to be notified when the collection goes on sale.
