Atlanta, G.A. – WQEB 97.3 gets up close and personal with aspiring rapper Bout Tyme.

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’ve always wanted to do music every since I can remember – there’s no definite path. I’ve been on this path basically since birth.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Going to Europe to sing and being asked to sing the star spangled banner A Capella for an Ole Miss. vs Tenn. football game.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

You should never over burden yourself or second guess yourself at what you want to do.  Every swing is not a home run but keep trying and still be real to yourself- you have to rest.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

It would be my mom. She has always been my cheerleader. She manages most of my affairs. From the first time she heard me do music, she has been my biggest motivator.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I haven’t made it as far as I want, but I intend to help my community in a big way. In the meantime, i’m giving back with small gestures, supporting local causes, and bringing joy to the world with my talent.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“What is meant to be will be.” If it is meant to be it will happen. And also “Judge a man by the distance traveled.”

How can our readers follow you on social media?

@bouttyme_  on instragam & my snapchat is ty_doc.

Your final thoughts?

Believe in Yourself. Only way your dream will manifest is if you take the first steps toward it and keep striving.  I would also like to thank my parents for their love and support during this whole process.
